Rosebud American Kitchen & Bar is a down-to-earth restaurant serving regional comfort food from across the US. A definitive neighborhood joint in Davis Square, Rosebud offers a laid-back dining experience in a casual setting to guests from all walks of life. Honest food and honest drinks set the foundation of Rosebud’s menu. While dishes have roots from all four corners of the country, Chef/Partner John Delpha, carefully integrates a range of far-flung flavors from across the globe to keep palates guessing.
Raised by a food-loving Italian family in Milford, Massachusetts, Joe Cassinelli has early memories of his Nonna’s handmade pastas drying in the kitchen and preparing meals at home for his encouraging parents. He sought to carry that heartfelt approach to food and hospitality over to Boston, which he accomplished by founding Alpine Restaurant Group in 2009 — bringing Posto, Painted Burro, and Rosebud to the Davis Square neighborhood.
Growing up in one of Providence, Rhode Island’s heavily Italian neighborhoods, John Delpha was no stranger to weekends spent around the table with friends, family and the home-cooked food that followed. While living in Georgia and Alabama through his early 20s, John found a fondness for barbecue and grilled oysters that cemented his interest in the culinary world. John’s next culinary pursuit brings him to Rosebud, where he lends his deep and diverse kitchen experience to the down-to-earth neighborhood restaurant and its impressive smoke program.
